From long commercial experience of founders of the firm in the market
of jewelry, clothing and accessories was born the idea of a different
brand – Maca Meva. Due to consumer’s interest and growing demand for
artisan, "not global" product, the founders believe in the success of a
different business model: close, creative, family, personal, using
natural materials and respectful with environment production processes.
The business idea has two central themes:
- Marketing of the creations of young designers of clothing and
accessories, and students from design schools. Throughout our
working experience in Catalonia, we find many creative people,
designers of unique pieces that have difficulties for promote their
product. Creative people do not always have resources to distribute
their creations. We have dozens of contacts and friends who are
interested in selling through us, their clothing designs, jewelry,
and decorative items. We strongly believe in the social importance
of our project because it will allow to talented people to earn
money working according to their vocation and, in the same time,
delivering differentiated product to market and revenue to the local
economy.
- Second important aspect of our company is a demand that we noted
over the years working at various local fairs as members of
Catalonia Guild Dealers in Girona and counties for handicrafts,
different from what we can found today in big shopping centres. Our
customers value these unique pieces, which reflect the knowledge of
craftsmen, the uniqueness of each creation, natural materials, and
traditional production techniques.
As an added value we are also able to do any type of product, taking
into account personal characteristics and needs of each client. Our idea
is to have a workshop at the shop itself, where the customer can choose
the pieces and create a single article by themselves.
